Natural caffeine from Coffea Arabica, about a small coffee. Enough to lift you, low enough to still sleep.
L-theanine, the amino acid in tea leaves, rides alongside the caffeine so the lift feels calm.
270mg potassium, 150mg magnesium and 15mg sodium, electrolytes you lose when you sweat.
Real fruit juice is the only sweetener, with a light fizz. No alternative sweeteners.

Built for the afternoon
Most drinks that promise a boost are built for the first hour. We use 75mg of natural caffeine and pair it with L-theanine, so the lift feels smooth and there's no sugar crash waiting at 4pm.
Flip the can over. If you'd need to Google an ingredient, we left it out. No stevia, monk fruit, erythritol, sucralose, added sugar or preservatives. Sweetened only by real fruit juice.
As female founders, Sasha Pieterse and Sai Svoboda wanted to ensure that every can gives back to women across the U.S. That's why they created Energy for Change, Drink Hippie's impact initiative. Click here to learn more.

"Finally an energy drink that doesn't taste like liquid candy. The peach is real, the fizz is light, and I didn't crash at 2 PM. Replaced my Celsius."
"Hippie energy gives me the energy I need without my heart racing or crashing like every other energy drink I have tried. The taste is so good; I wish the cans were larger."
"I truly hate most energy drinks. There's usually a weird flavor to them that I don't like. I don't get that with this drink at all!! The caffeine level is perfect for a little boost without giving me jitters."
"I get tired of the overly sweet taste and the caffeine crash that comes with such high caffeine content, but Hippie Energy has been a fix-all for me."
FAQ
It's a smaller dose on purpose, about what's in a small coffee. The L-theanine keeps the lift even, so you feel switched on without the spike. If you're coming off a 200mg can, swap one afternoon can first and see how your evening feels.
Yes, and it's one of our favorite moments for it. We've poured Hippie Energy at yoga, stretch and fitness studio events, and the feedback from those classes has been overwhelmingly positive: light enough to drink before you move, with enough lift to show up ready.
We keep the caffeine moderate and pair it with L-theanine, and most people describe the lift as smooth. Everyone reacts to caffeine a little differently, so start with one can and go from there.
Not at all. You taste the fruit: peach, watermelon or citrus, with a light fizz. The functional ingredients don't add an earthy or bitter note. Not sure which flavor is yours? The Variety Pack has 12 of each.
No added sugar. The only sweetener is 15% real fruit juice, which brings a little natural sugar from the fruit. That keeps every can at 35 calories or less, with no stevia, monk fruit, erythritol or sucralose.
Most people have one or two. The FDA cites 400mg of caffeine a day as an amount not generally linked to negative effects in healthy adults, so count your coffee and tea too. For better sleep, enjoy your last can about 6 hours before bed.
Each can has 270mg of potassium, 150mg of magnesium and 15mg of sodium, electrolytes you lose when you sweat. On long or hot days, drink water alongside it.
We don't recommend Hippie Energy for anyone under 18. If you're pregnant, nursing or sensitive to caffeine, check with your doctor before drinking it.
We ship to all 50 states. Subscriptions always ship free. One-time orders ship free on 3 or more packs or over $100, and cost $9 to ship otherwise. You can mix flavors across packs.
